About this class
Created in 2016 by Berlin-based visual artist Dina, Techno Painting is not just a workshop—it’s a completely original artistic method born from years of painting, live performance, and deep immersion in Berlin’s techno culture.
Long before others began imitating the idea, Dina developed this technique as part of her live art performances: a way to translate sound into movement, and movement into abstract painting. Since 2018, she has shared it with over 1,000 participants from around the world—earning more than 560 five-star reviews for an experience many describe as unforgettable, even life-changing.
At its core, Techno Painting is a guided process that allows anyone—regardless of experience—to create a visually striking, harmonious abstract artwork. There is no pressure to “be artistic.” Instead, participants are invited to let go of thinking and enter a flow state.
The method unfolds in three stages, layering patterns and rhythms onto the canvas. As hypnotic techno music fills the space, your hand begins to move in sync with the beat. What starts as simple motion evolves into something more intuitive—a dance between sound, body, and color.
The result is something deeply personal and often surprising.
Participants frequently describe the experience as a form of active meditation. As one guest shared, it felt like “meditation mixed with music and art—and now I have this beautiful painting to hang in my home.” Others call it “one of the most fun things I’ve ever done in Berlin,” or even “a little creative therapy session” that offers relief from the stress of everyday life.
Even those who arrive convinced they aren’t creative leave with a sense of pride and amazement. One participant wrote that thanks to Dina’s guidance, they “felt like a pro and painted something I am really proud of.” Another described the process as “magic… like nothing else you’ve ever done before,” reconnecting them with a long-dormant artistic side.
But this experience goes beyond painting.
Dina is deeply rooted in Berlin’s club scene and shares her insider knowledge throughout the session—offering insights into the culture, unspoken rules, and unique character of the city’s nightlife. For many visitors, this adds an entirely new layer to their understanding of Berlin, making the workshop not just creative, but cultural.
Guests often highlight the atmosphere as much as the technique itself: welcoming, inspiring, and open. Whether you come alone or with others, it’s easy to connect—with the process, the music, and the people around you.
As one participant put it: “If you love techno, clubs, art, and want an unforgettable and unique experience in Berlin, I highly recommend this.”
Each session ends with something tangible: your own original painting. A visual memory of a moment where you let go, tuned in, and created something entirely your own.
This is the original Techno Painting experience—created in Berlin, shaped by its culture, and impossible to replicate.

Teamevents and groups
What you’ll do in the class
First, we'll explore the creative process and decide on the color palette for each person. Then we'll absorb ourselves into music and learn how to translate your energy into painting. You will be personally instructed in the unique technique and use of colors. We will work in layers of paint. You dive into the creative process, forget your everyday life and express your inner playfulness.
We will take a break to dry the layers, discuss the process, evaluate the result so far and decide how to proceed. Drinks will be served during the break.
As we paint, I'll be happy to share the “secrets” of Berlin's club culture. Discuss the dress code and door policies of the main clubs where I party every weekend.
Other things to consider
Please contact me if you're a group. I have the option to host groups of up to 8 people, details would have to be discussed beforehand.
